Introduction

For us matter is an alchemical material we transform into light. We use a unique devising process combining contemporary dance with liturgy (bodily religious worship) and modern/ancient theatrical techniques such as Butoh and Dionysian Theatre. At the centre of our work lies deep physical research into personal dreamscape and ancestry which we merge with mythologies ranging from Christian medieval religious iconography to Mesopotamian myth and film noir. Our live music covers a miscellany of styles including Sephardic, Persian lullaby, Arabic folk and Flamenco; alongside disciplines from cinema to puppetry. The multidisciplinary threads of our work join in the fulcrum of the body, turning the stage (be it a theatre, field, studio, or shower cubicle) into a limitless space in which the threads of performer integrate with that of the audience, to create a single immersive fabric of worldmaking and ritual.

We dance with the immortality of Being and enter Death to reclaim the Soul from the Void and with this paint Love.
